We've reached our hundredth coffee! And what better way to celebrate, than cricket. Right..? Although we had low expectations, this is the best stadium coffee either of us has ever had, that's for sure! Rained out of the cricket, we go to the true celebration of 100 coffees - coffee and cats! Really decent cup o' Joe, which surprises me, given that it's obviously not the coffee that people come for (that would probably be the cats). Creamy but strong, with a nice aftertaste. Also came with a cat cookie. AB

The buses are on a "holiday timetable" at the moment (and until 27 January..!) and appear precisely once in a blue moon. So when we miss ours this morning, we decide to make the most of the time, and walk down to Coogee Beach for coffee and banana cake. A take away cup from a coffee-come-fashion shop down near by Coogee beach. A good temperature, but all in all a boring effort. Lacking bite and character. Possibly too thin. Quite disappointed really. Well, you can't win them all.

A cheeky sit in coffee with our Sydneysider greeters in Newtown, the decor of this coffee shop was the most striking thing. A converted front room, that was still genuinely a front room. It also provided work experience in the hospitality sector to recent refugees to Sydney. The coffee itself was solid... But unfortunately, as we were making small talk with our greeters, we did not discuss the coffee amongst ourselves, nor made tasting notes.
