Went out for a small bite to eat last night (we had quite a big late lunch at Universal). Found a great complex of bars and restaurants called Chimes which opened out into a Courtyard and seemed a bit "posher" than Clarke Quay. Definitely "our scene". Very relaxed with a good choice of eateries. Had some tapas and then walked down to Boat Quay over the bridge was really nice. Boat quay has a range of restaurants and bars alongside the river - lots of ex pats out after work. Good atmosphere and so we stopped for a a glass of wine at a riverside table to take it all in. As you walk up and down the quay you see a huge variety of fish and lobsters in the tanks and you can pick which one you want before it is cooked before you. We found this a bit off putting - thought about buying a big crab and then putting it in the river!
Back at the hotels last night and this morning, we both felt a bit ropey - traced it to the tapas omelette. Back to the airport no problems and am now writing this "in the air" on the way to Bali.
