We tried to extend our stay on phagnan but they werent having any of it! So we grudgingly hurried to pack to get our transfer to the port at 11.30am.. it was a rather painful process.. so hungover, tired, emotionally drained! We had to wait what seemed in our states like an eternity for our boat but once on it i slept so we were at ko samui in seconds! Ko Samui felt a lot bigger but its pretty similar in size, its quite mountainous. Took about half an hr to get to our resort which had its own secluded beach which was lovely... samui is just full of resorts.. pricey and budget. We were quite out of the way so had to get a taxi into Chaweng, the nearest town. It was your typical holiday destination.. so many families but there was the lively bit with bars and a couple of clubs, although we didnt sample the clubs! It felt like a more civilised, more expensive version of ko phagnan.. we didnt like it so much! Spent 4 days on the beach.. literally did nothing! On our first night we had a bit of drama when we spotted a MASSIVE gecko in our room! It was huuge, could have been mistaken for a baby crocodile no joke! Anyway answer of course was to call for the german boys who wed said two words to, that were staying nextdoor! they took a million pictures, cursed in german while lucy was on the other side of the resort and i was standing on my bed... during which time it had crawled under the wardrobe so the boys, naturally, pushed the whole thing outside! Got rid of it though so i wasn't complaining! Some thai man came along to see what the fuss was about, he actually thought we were mad!..
Yesterday i got a thai massage.. my god it hurt but felt pretty good after! Have never had a proper massage before, think the woman could tell! Left this morning at 8.30 am, getting up was a shock! Songkran (New Year) started yesterday so we were glad to be transferred in a minibus! Its so much fun but not when you have your whole life with you! Managed to avoid getting wet and now we are in Surat Thani.. waiting for our train to Malaysia! Excited to be going to Malaysia but i absolutley love thailand, even more the second time around! Will definitley be back!!
