I am now in Vancouver, Canada after a short but interesting bus journey through the border crossing! Apparently you are even more scrutinised on way back into the US. Well, I have been in Vancouver for nearly a day so far. It has not stopped raining, and I have witnessed a cardiac arrest in a guy who fell and smashed his head on the floor. A local guy working in a coffee shop was attending to him and he was a paramedic. I asked if he needed assistance as I was also a nurse. However, I realised that even though I knew Basic Life support....I'm not sure what I would have done if I had been the one who found him?Anyhow, the guy was shipped off in an ambulance....it was very sad. Then I met a girl who was a paramedic and newly qualified and we spoke about nursing for a while. Then I was drinking with some Aussie guy who had the same birthday as me! This doesn't sound all that weird really, but it was one of those days filled with strange circumstances. Anyway, Vancouver seems cool, and I want to go over to the North and there is a crazy suspension bridge over there. I am doing a tour Monday to some canyon. I have not done any research into Canada at all, so am lost! But it seems cool.....it just will not stop raining. Tried to get into a pub for the rugby final, but they are all full....and at a cost of $30 it is not such a bad thing...but CFC did win today so i am happy. The hostel i am in is in the middle of club central, and is above a nightclub. the bass shakes the building, so I thought last night.....if you can't beat them....join them....so I stayed in the club until close. It appears that England are losing at the moment, it is raining....and I am forcing myself to brave the torrential downpours and do tourist stuff! I am back in Seattle Tuesday for 2 days, down to Portland, Oregon for 3 days then over to NYC. Have a great weekend all.....
