Hi Everyone!!!
We have just a chance to update our site again, so are going to be doing it in past tense ... and once again, we can't upload photo's, dodgy!!!oh well!!!
Sunday we left Karen and joined the rest of our tour group and headed into the Masai Mara - oh my god! It was awesome ... Our tent had it's own toilet and shower, talk about 1st class camping, i was loving it. So anyway, we arrived to the Mara Park at about 4 in the afternoon, unpacked outr day packs and went on our first safari trip in the open top 4wd's. Seen heaps of animals, and was blown away by how many we saw. Lioness', giraffes, elephants, buffalo, gazelles, wilderbeasts, zebra's ... it was crazy. One pack of lions walked right past our truck, if you reached out you could have touched them ... was tempting, but obviously we didn't as I am here now to type this email!
On monday we went for another game drive and seen lots more animals, had spotted 3 of the 5 'big 5' by this time, and loved it. In the afternoon we went to the Masai village and had a chat with the locals, was crazy the way they live, their houses are made literally out of cow dung and sticks, and the goats sleep inside with them with, as you do! Took lots of photo's of us with the little kids, and watched the Masai dances - also have photo's of Fluke trying to jump with the masai, he did well ... but they were a bit higher!
It rained in the arvo, and on the way back and we had to walk across a river - and jump to the other side, but of course I didn't make the jump - there is some lovely footage of the whole thing that will prob end up on you tube somewhere!@!!!!
