Little Chloe's intrepid traveller guide!
Trujillo, trujillo, trujillo. . . what can i say! Made it back here at about 11pm on sunday, (after getting a bus that 'supposedly came at 12' actually came at 1:30, then got to chiclayo at 6;30, managed to find a dodgy bus company with seats left to trujillo.woo! and finally made it into trujillo at bout 10;30. But it didnt matter coz we all had a wicked time in mancora. We all get on really well, and i had my first few (or 7) drinks since probably brazil! Lets just say we made the most of it. ANYWHO, so now back in trujillo, everything started again on monday. Up at 7am to make about a million sandwiches for the kids. Then at 8:30 its off to school, where i stay until 12ish. Then back for lunch, quick trip to the supermarket, and time to start preparing lessons. Then at 6pm my lessons start'its so scary! But also really fun! CRAZY to think these 20 adults are all sitting there ready for me to teach them english and paying too!!!! Fun coz i have the power - if i dont speak, nothing will happen . . ! Feel v.important. spend most of the afternoon, photocopying worksheets, and deciding what we`re gonna learn today. First class on monday didnt go so great. Couldnt really explain everything, some people didnt understand anything some people thought it was too easy, aahhh! But my 2nd class 7-8pm went really well. Everyone was really grateful i was there, and friendly and listened to everything i said. Its day two now and i feel like already im starting to get somehwhere, also realising how hard teaching really is! But i really love it all. Im glad i came here. Everyone gets along really well already, and theres always something to do. Have so much more to tell, but im now off to the cinema to see la era de hielo 2, (ice age 2). Hope all is well, will write back soon, love me xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
