So we had a day to kill in the one street town of Lone pine at the base of Whitney before the bus made its thrice-weekly trip to take us to another one street town where we could rent a car to drive to Vegas. Luckily I can now eat all the peanut butter flavoured candy and fast food and coffee I want whilst using a drive through. God bless America. One of the american guys we met on the trail who had provided the scotch joined us for the journey as there is no other way to get to from the middle of California. Transport is warped. He was very entertaining and could talk for England.
What did I do in Vegas....gambled of course!! Last time I was there I was under 10 so barely the legal. This time I spent a whole hour and a half on roulette and the slots. Started with $50, walked away with $56.75 AFTER tipping the roulette lady who congratulated Excessively for still being up AND you get free drinks whilst your gambling AND the cashier lady congratulated me on how young I looked. Gotta love Vegas. The slot machines are very confusing though and there were hardly any blackjack tables. Going back there next week and got tickets to see one of the cirque du soleil shows....über excited. This was a brief visit.
