Banana flower salad. This salad had onion soy vinegar sweet taste. The sweet sour balance was prevalent. No overpowering bitterness from the flower rather a nicely balanced sweet bitter taste from vinegar and sugar. Assuming there was nam pla in there too.
I don't know what the rich colour is from. Must find out.

Jack fish and lapu lapu in a red onion and ginger sauce.
All steamed in a tiny kitchen on the boat. Perfectly cooked juicy fresh fragrant fish.

Tiger prawns in a sweet garlicy syrupy. Oh wow these are heaven. We fought over them :)

Breakfast on Bass island.
Some left over dried shrimp were found for Nik who was a huge fan. These had been drying in the sun all day and the fish salty taste had amplified considerably :) a tricky flavour for the early morning :)
