Sarah's European Adventure
Rome was so amazing. Much more touristy than I expected-what, I'm not the only one who likes to take a Roman holiday?
Traveling with my parents helped remind me that I do love traveling (I was about traveled out at that point), and their excitement over everythin European was great.
We spent a day in the Vatican and a day exploring Ancient Rome. It was fun seeing the Roman ruins actually in Rome since I'm used to seeing them in Spain.
I also liked being called bella instead of guapa for few days by random .
men on the street. Oh European men...don't think I'll miss em...
I got to see Jess in her own element for some good ole Italian cappachino, and my mom and I even pretended to run in the marathon that was going on (well ok, it really was over except for the walkers...)
My favorite part was the Vatican Museum, which houses the Sistine Chapel, the Raphael rooms, and other amazing art everywhere you look. We even became friends with a German woman who will let me borrow her flat if I go!
Needless to say I loved Rome and its lemon trees and will have to try and go back sometime.
