Arrived from Florencee aafter a train journey of 4 hours, a little longer than expected, but we did take the local train and not the Eurostaaar which is much quicker. Rome wass very hot 27 degrees, and we walked in to our hotel that was again on the third floor. The elevator is like a wooden shoebox and only 2 people can fit in at once. We then assked for a roll away bed in the room , but its againsst Italian law to have moree than so many to a room, this seems a little strange as on the boking form it clearly stattes roll away bed!! Well cut a long tale short, we got a room that sleeps 4, one double and a set of bunk beds. The bathroom is tiny , shower is really bad and toilet sounds like a train coming through the wall.
We went off to the centre of Rome and saw the Trevi Fountain, Patrick forgot to throw i his coins the same time as everyone else, he was funny. Then we walked past the back of the Pantheeon, we weent tot eh Piazza Navone. Beautiful but disappointing as the main fountain was being refurbished. We then walked to the FRONT of the PAntheon , it was gorgeous, words cant describe it. Thre roof opening i perfectly circulaar and made of concrete. Can you believe they did that peerfect a job all those years ago- aand with concrete. Maybe they should go and work on the M25 in the Uk sometime- maybe it would eventuallyget finished. I appologize for all the mistakes but I am in an internet cafe and the keyboard is crappy. Well after that day we were really tired and still had to go back to the hotel, that seems eay doesnt it? Well think agaion in Rome! We had to wait for 40minutes for a number 175 bus to Termini along with 250 other bloody people- no joke we were like sardines, the smell alone of BO could have killed at 50 paces. Back to our room , watche the TV only one English speaking channel, MTV and then bed.
