Day 40: Sadly we leave Kununurra and head for a rest area west of Katherine. We have loved Kununurra and will miss it a lot. The idea of living in a caravan park, on a lake in a small town like Kununurra has a lot of appeal. However, the rest of our travels call for our attention, so we head off. Day 16: We left Katherine late, after an easy morning and another swim at the springs. Today we have it all to ourselves, so I have a go on the rope swing...not a pretty sight! But fun all the same. Day 15: Katherine gave us Woolworths (for a little restock) and a very informative Tourist Information. We dropped the van at a cattle station called 'Manbulloo' and headed straight to Katherine Springs, to cool off. Day 15: We left Daly Waters and made our way to Mataranka Thermal Springs. The day was about 35 degrees, so it was refreshing to dive into the beautiful blue water of the springs.
