After leaving San Francisco we spent a couple of days in Seattle. It rained quite a bit but we still managed to get out and about to see the sights.
I really enjoyed Pikes Place Market. It was buzzing with people and activity. It was really quite exciting for a market. All the fish mongers were throwing fish around and singing and shouting. We got to try chocolate linguini. It was rather strange, apparently it's to be served with ice cream. There were lots of nice things being sold.
Seattle is home to the very first ever Starbucks. We went to see it. There was a band playing outside and it was queued right out the door! In fact Seattle really has a lot of coffee houses, they appear to be on every corner.
We went out to see the Space Needle. The Space Needle is really tall and the bit on top looks likes a spaceship. There is an observation deck at the top but as it was not a very clear day we didn't go up. We took a walk around the bottom and saw the sci-fi and music museums. There was also a fairground. On our last day in Seattle we took a walk to Pioneer Square.
