World - Bring it on!
We later realised this was a wise choice as one of our friends came of their scooter and got a few nasty cuts and bruises.
A couple of days later once our friends had left we were moved into another nearby villa. This one was even nicer than the first. It was on 2 floors and was really spacious. We even had our own big terrace upstairs. Unfortunately we were not to have the villa to ourselves as promised. Two middle aged, Dutch alcoholics arrived unexpectantly and were put in with us. They managed to slur out lines such as 'Hospitality Management....Hahahaha...what are you going to do with that? Work in a brothel?', 'what? Do u mean we are not going to bed togetheras man and woman?' and 'come and watch how magical the waves are'. Funnily enough we did not like them very much and tried to avoid them at all costs.
On our last night in Goa we cycled to a nearby town where there were several beach shacks. We had heard on this particular night the singer from UB40 performed in one of them. We thought it would be fun to go there. We had a nice meal, had a steak which was a real treat, and the music was really good too. We were pretty concerned about the cycle ride home as it was tricky enough at the best of times. That night we had the disadvantage of having had a few drinks and it being dark. Some parts of the road were completely deserted and pitch black. Thankfully we had Lauren's trusty head torch which has seen us through numerous tricky situations now. Even with the little light from the torch it was still really scary. We would sing Christmas songs through the really dark and scary bits. people must have thought we were crazy!
I really enjoyed Goa. It was so nice to be able to chill out and relax for a while. No haggling, no one lying to us, no hassle. Perfect.
