London
Set off from on the eve of Christmas Eve. I then proceeded to give the parents back home quite a scare along with myself when I couldn’t find my physical plane tickets. I love when I give a situation that needs no stress increased power and completely give myself a heart attack. After about two hours of panicking, calling airliners I located the tickets and all was well once again. Flight was long plus passport control sucked. But I arrived safely in London. That night I was completely lonely especially with everyone meeting their families and preparing for Christmas. Talk about being homesick. What did I do? Went out and bought a cup of soup. Ate it and watched bandits before going to bed. Oh I am so festive. Next morning I woke up early due to uncertainty when the coniki tour would leave. After confirming that it was the following day, Christmas, I went back to sleep. Few hours later I was rudely awaken with knocks on the door saying room service. It turned out to be Austin. It was great seeing him. Caught up and then hit the town to see the sights. Visited London bridge, famous HMS battle cruiser, Big Ben, parliament, the London eye (basically a giant Ferris wheel) and the royal palace. Bummed I didn’t get to see the guards in their little red uniforms. Must be their summer outfits. It was fun and was a blatant reminder of how out of shape I am and what is in store with the amount of time I will spend walking.
The next day contiki tour starts and we head for Amsterdam bright and early.
