Figgy's Kimberley Adventure
Again made good time. Made a stop in Burra to stretch our legs & spent a fascinating hour in the town Hall cum museum. Fantastic building serving many purposes & a great history. On to our overnight camping site in Terowie. Terowie has a population of about 250 down from its peak of 2000 when the railway ceased to run. Only 2 businesses in the Main Street are actual in business! The rest are just rotting away! Bet you didn't know that MacArthur's famous 'I shall return' speech was delivered in Terowie!
Aiming for Hawker tomorrow.

Vic You're right about MacArthur - didn't even know he'd been to Oz. I shall research him! Remember Burra really well. About to check out Terowie and Hawker. Really like this blog.
CnR Did he 'return'?
John If you do stop at Hawker would recommend a visit to Yourambulla Caves(13km South of Hawker)
Maurie Don' t go for the cheap petrol stop at Hawker on w est side of main street - only got half the K's out of it - must doctor it.
figgy47 Oops, No stop, Not to Terowie and Ta!
