Seems ages since we spoke you beautiful people.
Not much to report really, just that I have spent the last 10 days in my 3rd favourite place in the world after Brum and Cavetown!
After my mini taster adventure last year the one place I wanted to return to was Luang Prabang, it is one of questions that always intrigues us as human beings whether sampling something a second a second time is as good as the first, a bit like your first Dime bar! Well, this place is a beautiful for me as it was on my previous visit. I have been here over a week now and have done nothing, but the time has passed so quickly, it is the sort of place where you can easily do nothing.
The people of Laos are incredibly warm and genuine and have no desires to become rich and famous and for a country which is the most bombed in history show no signs of any bitterness or anger. It is the only place in the world I have visited where the people in the markets do not hassle you for their trade, they just wait to see if people want to buy their goods, it really does fascinate me. The key to their philosophy seems to be patience brings rewards.
Thought I would move on from here before they start charging me residence tax so I'm heading to Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand in the next few days. Also booked my return ticket home and fly out of Kuala Lumpur on 6th March.
Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.
