Hi everyone, this is our 6th day in India, we have spent 4 days in hectic Delhi, and 3 days in Agra, currrently it is 3.30pm and we are waiting for a train which leaves at 9.30 tonight, a 16hr sleeper to Varanassi. Sitting in this internet cafe in the Taj Ganj area, in the last 10 seconds I have heard about 10 horns, literally as I am typing this 4 black cows walked past the door, there is the constant flurry of cycle rickshaws, scooters, motorbikes and tuk tuks flying by. Our hotel here is quite nice, it is about a 100M walk to the Taj, we have a good view of the Taj from the roof, and theres a group of resident monkeys that are quite interesting to watch. To briefly sumarise our trip so far, we have - stayed in Prahar Ganj, Delhi for 3 nights, eatin on numerous rooftop restaurants, watched plenty of ammusing human and animal traffic, been on a crampt metro train in peak hour, caught a comfy 4 hour train to Agra, eaten plenty of delicious food, seen 2 forts, a tomb, some nice gardens, India gate, the Taj Mahal, plenty of rickshaw rides, taken plenty of photos, walked a lot, been hasseled heckled and almost ripped off by many people trying to take our cash, had a bit of mild Delhi belly, and bogged up a couple of toilets. All this and we have spent about $120 each. Havent seen any other Aussies yet, but we met some nice pommy girls today, had some tasty Chai with them. We are loving the Indian food, and I (BC) havent eaten meat since we got here, and am not really missing it. On the other hand we havent had lunch yet, and thats were we are off to now.
