Yay!! I found my camera charger!! Typically I find it the day before I leave Buenos Aires so haven't had the chance to take that many photos, but nevermind...... Have been in BA for about a week and a half now and I love it!! We've had such an awesome time here, it's a great city. Have done a bit of sightseeing whilst here, went to Recoleta - an area where there's a cemetery for the rich and famous. The gravestones are humungous!! Really huge, like houses!...

A fair amount has happened since the last entry.....where do I begin!? I left Parati after a couple of days and headed south to Sao Paulo (a humungous city with a population of about 22 million). I only stayed in the city to watch an outdoor Oasis concert which was really awesome. Hey! Hope everyone's well. I have managed to tear myself away from Rio even though it was so much fun - but at the same time I was ready to start traveling again. Just to update you.... We went to see a footy match in Rio's maracana stadium (which is huge!) - one of the local sides (Flamengo) against an away team I no longer remember the name of! The atmosphere was great, the fans were constantly singing and chanting which was perhaps more entertaining...

Carnival, Carnival!!! Dave and I are recovering from about 5 days of Rio street parties which go on till the early hours. It's been absolutely amazing here, we love Rio! Before arriving in Rio, we did a 4 day tour of the Pantanal, a vast area of swampland the size of France situated near the border with Bolivia. We've been in Santa Cruz now for about 4 days. It took about 15 hours on the overnight bus from Sucre to get here, got a couple of flat tyres during the night but generally the journey was ok - I think our tolerance to sleeping on buses is increasing (we've had alot of practice so far).
