FARFRUMWURKEN
It was an early rise for our trip to the Sydney Airport. Our flight was at 08:30 a.m. which meant that we had to leave Ian & Wendy's at 05:45 a.m. to make the 50 minute drive. Thanks so much to both of you for the stay in your home. You are truly amazing people.
All went like clockwork, despite the 10-hour flight from Sydney to Hong Kong. We arrived just after 2:30 p.m. and everything went great. We changed some money and grabbed the Express train from the airport into downtown Kowloon. The price for this was $360.00 HK return or about $25.00 US per person - really reasonable considering what a taxi would have set us back. From the Kowloon train station, we grabbed a free shuttle bus over to the Park Hotel which was just one street north of our hotel - The Butterfly on Prat.
This is a boutique hotel that's costing us about $250.00 US a night and it's typical of a Chinese hotel room - small but very nice. This will be our home for the next three nights. We certainly had some sore bums after sitting for sitting so long but we managed to log three movies each along with a periodic nap. Memories of my TNT travel for sure.
We just chilling for a while before we head out into the NEON jungle. We'll look for a place for dinner and do a little exploring before the sun goes down. Just wanted to let you all know that were still 100% and there are no issues.
Stay tuned for the pictures to follow.
