Dearest Jo, today I copied and pasted the last of your blogs into a Word doc, entitled Jo's Thai Diary. Next, I spent a few hours reading through the whole lot!! It makes terrific reading, and I'm sure you will enjoy browsing through it now and again in the years to come. Thank you for entertaining us both and all your loyal followers! We are so much looking forward to seeing you again this weekend, and hearing all about your adventures - "straight from the traveller's mouth"! We wish you a safe and pleasant journey home. All our love, Mum & Dad xx

Hi Jo - just caught up with the last blogs, terrific (as usual..) & great pics, don't bother to bring me back that bottle of whiskey after all...
Seems impossible you are due back so soon, time seems to have flown- hope awful UK weather improves for your return - cold & wet at present with smog last week (yes really) You look terrific tanned, fit & relaxed. Have a safe journey home & see you soon darling X

Hi Jo darling - just a line to say I'm so enjoying your brilliant blog & superb photos, glad you had a great time with the Brown's (knew you would) Sad when they left I bet... Boy, how Archie has grown - looks so tall now.
All fine this end, looking forward to seeing you in April, but sad the gorgeous Thai sabbatical must end for you.. Where next I wonder?

Hi Jo, glad you've mastered the pink bus .. cheaper than tuk-tuks? .. and motorbike taxis, since you've bought "flowery silk trousers" (your blog 18 Jan) do you still have to ride sidesaddle and "grip on tightly" .. onto wat? .. I don't mean your temples .. are you now fluent in Thai?
By the way, your photo of food (24 Nov) titled "don't have a clue" .. I'm sure you know they're horseshoe crabs .. not really crabs but distant relatives of woodlice and pre-Cambrian trilobites .. I have one approx 36 million years old, size of a pea, doesn't talk much.
Enjoy your visa run to the Myanmar/Burma island .. hopefully no political unrest there, and none trickling down from Bangkok to Phuket .. you just like messing about in boats .. hang on tight .. we all look forward to your next blog.
Francis

Thank you Anta for your comments - I hope France is not having storms and rain like the UK has had in recent weeks. I'll try not to be too smug when I say it averages about 32 degrees in the daytime and 25 degrees at night. I try not to go in the sun too much as it's blimmin hot but still seem to be getting browner!!
Anta
Hi Jo,
I'm so happy for you! It's a big, great, fantastic adventure that you are living! Enjoy every minutes for the poor of us :-)
And take care!

Yes I would like to add any funny notices and signs written in English by Thai people. I have seen a few that have made me chuckle but not thought to take a picture. Any more I see I will add to the folder!! That's an interesting story about your friend!!
My room faces East and I'm on the third floor. My window looks out to the supermarket roof opposite but if I stick my head out and look left I can see up the side road on to Ratsada Road.
I'm glad you're liking the blog and photos. Luckily for me I was able to buy a new iphone - thank you Francis. That was an incredibly generous gift to give me the money for the phone. X
