December saw not just the end of another term (fab) but the wedding of my good friends Brian and Nancy. It took place in a beautiful church north of Cuenca called Biblian. We got there courtesy of Cuencas local bus system; our very own charabanc and we didn't even have to pay the 25 centavos we normally do.
It was a beautiful ceremony with not a dry eye in the house followed by a lovely wedding breakfast with Nancy and Brians collective families. After lunch we had a chance for a bit of r and r which was sorely needed given I hadn't worn heels in over 18 months.
The reception took place downtown in San Blas. It was great fun and included a group of local dancers - including me at one point but the least said about that the better. I think I got of lightly because not only was I able to stay upright which was no mean feat in those heels there is only one slightly blurred photo courtesy of Scotty! There was an open bar, a mariachi band - check out the photo of Brian, and dancing until the early hours.
A good time was had by all!
