Felt like a big day driving to Malany, maybe because we didn't stop for lunch and ate on the way. Josh assures me we only traveled 3 hours. Seriously, we are not fast travelers!
Got to see the outskirts of Brisbane thanks to me demonstrating to Sally how the sun roof works, and how it must be put right down before we close the van- yep, not closed properly! Lucky josh saw it wobbling in the wind.
Just as we are about to turn back on the freeway, Jenson needs to pee! This would be so boring without the kids!
The drive in the hinterland was stunning! One side showing off the incredible Glass House Mountains, the other side looking out far along the Sunshine Coast line.
Stayed at our first show ground camp- very popular cheap van stop offs. Hot showers mmm. Backed the van into our chosen spot, kids got out, then were immediately adopted by a lovely grandma with a red dog! Who insisted she look after the kids while we "do what we have to do". Sweet!! We would have employed her for the next 4 weeks, except we found later that both her and her husband loved to talk a bit too much!
Bolognase for dinner- well I didn't have sauce....but, a few herbs, fresh tomato and cheese and the fam was happy.
I crawled into bed shortly after the kids, next to josh with the iPad hanging over our bed live streaming the formula one from Russia! Ha! Awesome!
