Good afternoon... I've arrived in Queenstown from Franz Josef..... I have seen some of the most wonderful scenery today on the drive down. WOW!! So many beautiful lakes and mountains. The colours have been wonderful... I have enjoyed this journey the most. I called by at Wanaka. It is such a cute little place, pretty and funky is probably a good description. Just a quick blog enrty to let you know that I've done the helicopter and hiking on Franz Josef Glacier...What a fantastic experience. This is one of the highlights of the trip so far. It is so vast, peaceful and beautiful. I simply loved it. The blue ice looks amazing, not sure the pictures do it justice actually! The helicopter journey to the Glacier was awesome. Very cool, sweeping up and over the cliff face to the glacier and seeing it from a birds eye view ...

Hi there, I did it.... the whale watching tour. How amazing was that!! Few technical difficluties to begin the day, but saw pilot whales on the first trip out. As we didn't spot the sperm whales I went out again in the afternoon (even with a bit of sea sicky feeling) and saw a fantastic, magnificent, wonderful, beautiful sperm whale. Also saw fur seals and wondering Albotross. Sorry the pics aren't going on yet - not sure this internet cafe can cope with...
