After an evening exploring the impossible to remember back streets of Thamel in Kathmandu we were driven in a Taxi very similar to an Ace Cab to the airport. When we say airport, it was more like a bus station on a busy day. Eventually and we've no idea how, we were called to board the twelve seater to Lukla. The flight was interesting, we had a great view on the mountains and thankfully the skilled pilot managed to land us on the 300m runway perched on the sid...

It's now 5:30pm in Kathmandu, we had good flights from London to Delhi and then onto Kathmandu. We've checked into our guest house, met our guide for the Trek, Dawa, got lost in the busy streets of the Thamel district and found a bar. Tomorrow we fly up to Lukla at 8:30am and the fun begins.

So the story begins. The trip from The Exhibition to Heathrow couldn't have been easier thanks to our chauffeur Charlie in his white fiat punto. Once Paul had been frisked, had his bag searched and his deodorant confiscated we, somewhat predictably found a bar. Next stop Delhi.

We have a couple of weeks to go now before we head off to Nepal and the fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support is going well as is the training, thanks to Marcus at Inner Sanctum Training.
