I haven't written for nearly a month, between a decline in wifi hotspots and the hectic, crazy whirlwind that was and still is Northern India i've dropped the ball a bit! However, with an hour until check-out and a moments peace and quiet I have found myself back on the blogsphere! So, Hyderabad... What a refreshing change to the South, Hyderabad really surprised me in the best possible way, sure it's a big Indian city with horns, traffic and more people than one cares to comprehend. However, it's large Muslim population, different food and truely cosmopolitan feel really does set it apart from other Indian cities. I visited a mosque and palace (and hospital) during my time in Hyderabad both were well worth the visit. The culinary highlight of India could definitely still be my chicken Biryani a dish Hyderabad is famous for and rightly so! Now seems just as good a time as any to give out a travel warning... The people of Hyderabad seem very excited at the prospect of having a photo with a foreigner, or more specifically having their babies take a photo with a foreigner, this did cause tears and many awkward photos to be taken as I was handed more babies than a Presidential candidate during my time in Hyderabad. I would conclude that Hyderabad is definitely worth a visit for a few days if you have the time.
