Today was a tender day with a late arrival, so we had breakfast a the dining room and went to another art event. There were less than 10 people so didn't do an actual auction; they brought out champagne and offered the mystery pieces at a low price. Then a quick lunch and onto the tender for Santorini. I must say Santorini was not as I expected; no foliage, lots of trinket stores, and lots of stairs... But the views were gorgeous. While of course we are here for tourism, my heating pad has not been working (my knee and ankle therapy that I have been diligently following since the beginning of the year requires a heating pad three times a day), so I need to find one that works with 220 current. (The 110 current burned up with the converter we got to Rome – and I bought another heating pad that worked in the hotel, but once we got to the ship, the voltage was too high.) I was told to go to a pharmacy. I went to a pharmacy. The pharmacies in Santorini don't carry heating pads (we checked both of them). So my knee is swelling from all the walking and especially the stairs.. Back on the ship, we had an early supper and went to the main stage show of the Tenors of Rock. Their harmonies were pretty spectacular. Then back to the cabin to hand wash some socks before bed.. Did I mention that there are no laundry facilities on the ship, other than having the ship do the washing or dry cleaning?
