You are a great travel journalist, Janie. I will miss your posts. I travelled so much pre-retirement that I no longer have any desire to board any plane.. If you haven't read the Diana Gabaldon novels, you must. She is a historical research fanatic and most of the stories are in the UK. I truly expected you to say in your latest travels that you had run into Jamie and Claire Fraser along the way. Thank you for making your wonderful trip available for me to enjoy vicariously. Janie My sweet sister, I cannot tell you how much I have enjoyed reading your comments. They warm my heart. Yes, I do believe you would love England and Ireland. Not only is the land incredibly beautiful but the people here wonderful. They are friendly, happy to meet us travelers and perfectly willing to go out of their way help us or make our trip better in any way. Without a doubt, we are blessed. Melissa Murphy Oh how blessed you have been! I think this trip was my favorite of all you guys have been on The green hills of both the English countryside and Ireland look like where I'd love to be. What's left of some of the Irish castles are so incredible that sometimes I think I would've liked to have lived back then but that is just a fleeting moment. I do love my conveniences! Melissa Murphy Well I too am behind in keeping up with the blog and photos, so rather than post several times just once here. Ireland looks exactly as described in one of the Mitford series of books when Father Tim and his wife chased his family tree and he also a time there as minister. If you haven't read that series yet, you MUST!! Funny, brings you to God Ray loves that movie with John Wayne too. Its one of his many that I remember and liked. It's awesome you got to go there. I would be exhausted if I were you guys but good thing you two are as healthy as you are. I love and miss you. Stay safe and enjoy the remainder of your trip.
