Xi'an
Day Three/Four we travelled to Xi'an. Overnight sleeper train was not bad as we thought. Candy slept on the bottom bunk and Emma slept on the third (top) bunk. There was not much space between Emma and the ceiling and as she does not like lofts because the ceiling is too close even she is suprised she done it! But we managed the 11 hour journey and arrived in Xi'an. We had lunch with a local family which consited of rice and a lot of vegetable dishes, which we were informed they grew themselves. We then went on to the Terracotta Warriors museum and it was amazing! The detail on them even though they were made so long ago is incredible. One of the farmers that discovered them was at the museum doing a book signing (and eating noodles). Speaking of food, not really that great here. They basically have just chinese food for every meal - something we can't stomach for breakfast. In many other cultures they have different types on food on offer, you go to london or anywhere in the UK infact and you can eat chinese, indian, thai, greek, traditional english grub, italian, the list goes on, but it seems in China, they just stick to the one type of food. We love Chinese food, it's just we were warned to be careful of where we eat as it can make you very unwell, so we were always so cautious.
