Welcome to Erin and John's travel blog.
We are currently in New Zealand. We started traveling in December 2007, it was supposed to be for a year but we were having too much fun to go home just yet so we decided to stay a bit longer. Unfortunately, the blog entries stopped some time ago- we were having too much fun to keep updating it...lazy we know! However, the photos are up to date and are pretty self explanatory!

We are currently in New Zealand. We started traveling in December 2007, it was supposed to be for a year but we were having too much fun to go home just yet so we decided to stay a bit longer. Our route so far has been, an 8 week overland tour of Africa from Kenya to South Africa which started on New Years Eve 2007- so far the absolute highlight. From there we moved on to South-East Asia covering Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Singapore for 2 months.
We then went to Australia to earn some money and stayed there for 1 year, living in Fremantle and Melbourne and traveling all of the East Coast and Tasmania. In April 2009 we arrived in New Zealand and are currently working for 4 hours a day on farms in exchange for our food and accomodation- we are having the time of our lives- apart from the mucking out bits!

I'm an Aussie and I agree that Aussie Rules is rubbish! It's the most pointless sport I have ever seen with goalposts three miles wide and several office blocks high, but with no crossbar to clear or goal keeper to beat! The ball can just be dribbled through the posts! And even if you miss the main goal, you can still score through the side posts (known as "behind" posts duh!). Sure the players can kick and leap (mark) well, but in the end it's all for nothing! Incredibly boring and pointless! Hope you enjoyed your adventures!

I am so sorry the blog got so abused, we have been having too much fun to stop and do it and now theres lots to tell!
We are in Melbourne now and whilst waiting for news on the work front I am going to update the blog. I figure it makes more sense to update Australia then go back and do Asia! So watch this space!
