Erica's Travels
I\'ve finally managed to find the time to write a postcard...soooooo here goes!
So we picked up the campervan on the 29th January and have since been driving like mad to get across Australia.
First port of call was the South/South West coast driving through Margaret River, Valley of the Giants, Esperance, Port Lincoln.
All towns are lovely and you would be surprised how clean the roads and towns are here...its almost unreal really.
The weather has been really hot, but haven\'t had a chance to sit back and sunbath yet so that will have to wait.
We have bought fishing rods to pass the time so we are now spending some afternoons fishing off town piers to see if we can catch dinner...so far only small fish have been caught...oh well.
Still diving and enjoying it....so hopefully will get some pictures of the dive trips soon.
We also travelled up through the outback and went to Coober Pedy, Ayres Rock, and Alice Springs
All intereting places, but must admit wouldn\'t want to live there as its over 40 each day...way tooooooo hot!
Ayres Rock was pretty amazing, and quite a few people live underground in the outback due to heat so as you can see from the photo\'s...interesting way of living.
Now we have travelled to the East coast it has become greener and prettier.
Townsville is a nice town and you can see its an Australian holiday town.
Dived the S.S Yongala which was fantasic.....saw loads of gish...turtles, sea snakes, giant groupers, nemo, coral trout etc etc. Went to 28m in depth and loved it!
Quite a few people were sea sick and must admit I also threw up due to rough seas....oh well!
We are now in Brisbane which looks nice but haven\'t seen much yet as been on the internet updating the site.
Caroline from work is here so we are catching up...hence the pictures.
More photos to follow shortly
After Brisbane we will travel down and visit Melbourne, Adelaide etc,
Right better go
