Erica's Travels
The Oz experience is coming to an end now as flying off to New Zealand on the 14th March.
We've traveled over 14,000 km during our stay here and have seen some great sights. Perth is probably my favourite with Adelaide coming in second. Although its all nice some areas are either too hot, or is more of a beach holiday.
Some of the best places have been the Valley of the Giants, visiting the National Parks (all have some great views), and Ayres Rock.
Oh and of course diving the S.S. Yongala was fantastic.
In Sydney at the moment and staying in King's Cross which is full of weirdo's and drug addicts...basically its no different from any other big city that we have seen really.
The Opera House and Sydney Harbour is lovely to see and the Rocks, which looks just like England as your walking round..with loads of different market stalls, old buildings and plenty of strange people to be kept entertained.
Was listening to a group play some music on the harbour front and some old guy dressed in a black dress, with ankle boots on and a scarf wrapped round his head dancing...I think he was a bit of a nutter really.
The botanic gardens here are nice with loads of cobwebs filled with large spiders...so you really wouldn't want to be walking through it at night...yuck!
A lot of the street names here are the same as London, you have your Oxford Street, Kings Cross, Liverpool Street, etc etc...
Went diving 20 minutes off the harbour which was good but think I'm going to struggle to beat the Yongala..oh well.
So another night of drinking before we get the plane tomorrow and then I will get an internal flight to Christchurch where I will start my travels across New Zealand...the weather is much cooler so hmmmm going to be a bit of a shock!
Anyway thats all from me my next postcard will be from NZ.
