Erica's travels through Eastern Europe and Russia
Kilkenny, Ireland - Well I had a memorable time in Ireland, after visiting Wexford and Kilkenny. In the small town of Wexford, I got a magical view of the small port where you could go for an hour's boat trip to see seals and beautiful miniature islands and tons of green. I also rented a bicycle and drove around a 14th century castle, as well as a 21st century rock quary, which was very interesting (as well as very devilish).
In Kilkenny, I went to visit a friend who showed me around the city and we went to visit a steep tower aside one of the numerous 14-15th century cathedrals (and abbeys, or monestaries) that surround the small hills of Kilkenny. There was also a grand castle with double plated windows - but I'm still not exactly sure what those are. I know they're not 14th century, though. Had some really good food, too, and a Screaming Orgasm Cocktail that would really make you scream - it was to die for.
Basically, all's well that ends well in Ireland, and I'll be sad to go back to the States. Oh well, it's a little late. I am in the States. I miss Europe already. Anyway, 1 month isn't so long. 10 September and I'll be back in London. I guess it isn't Ireland. But it's close.
