This will be probs the last we write. who really wants to sit infront of a computer when the sun is shining, am i right?
So anyways, our journey went on from Swakopmund, down to Soussusvlei in Namibia. This is the main attraction in Namibia. Amazing sandunes and desert area. We woke up five o'clock in the morning driving/rally Silje into the dunes. Amazing sunrise by Big Mama, Silje climbed to the top. Funny thing is due to heavy rain the last years the desert is also green. Bizarre bizarre but oh so beautiful! Dead vlei is also one of those wonders you come across in these places. Trees that have been dead for over thousands of years, and still going strong.
We drove from Sesriem to the Drifters Desert Camp about two hrs south. An oasis in the desert i wanna call it :) very enjoyable! Highlight was a dip in the plunge pool and wild bat eared fox whilst driving from the farm area.
The trip went on to the Orange River which is the border to South Africa. We crossed the border and made camp at Aquacade. Next morning canooeing was on the schedule. Oh what funny times. Our canoe went spinning quite much...the guide said it had to do with teamwork, well i dont know but i feel im a very good teamplayer so it must have been Silje. Scenic river and a nice time.
Cape Town here we come! Oh what joy we felt seeing Table mountain revealing itself from afar. Silje was crying happy tears since she formerly lived in this spot. Happy times!
We party, we sightsee, we beach, we love :)
Highlights from the cape. Franschoek, with the diverse food and wineestates. Camps Bay where the beach bums hang. And of course meeting Hanne and Alex for a bite to eat before they left this spot of beauty.
See u guys in Norway, unfortunately soon....
when is next holiday i wonder...
