heeeey again!
since i"ve been at ko pa gnang for the last 10 days i did"nt get to write or do anything in the internet, it"s so slow lines and hard to find good elecrisity!(they turn it on and of all the time, to save it , everything got run by a tiny agregat:) (althoug u dont stay in a fancy resort or something, but hey not me):)
i arrived ko pa gnang the 2 of february and met a nice couple from the states, andrea and david, at the shore just after arrival at the island. we were going the same way, and there were just the 3 of us...hehe, guess eveyone else searced for party party, but we were ready for some nice relaxing and since the book says that this was a calm and nice place i chose that:) so since i met them,i saved half of what it would cost if i"d had to go by my self ,by sharing tuktuk and boat:)
we really got to come in good talk pretty quikcly and it was fun to share some traveling experiences;) since we got this really good tone we spend the time together every day and we also got to know the staff and thos few other at the beach really well aswell,so we had birthdayparty the first day and bond fire, guitar and drums 3 nights, and also got to enjoy the best thaifood everyday:)
after 6 days,we went together to haad rin for the full moon party, we got therre 2 days before the party, lucky that, because the place was crouded allready with party people and we got to find a deacent place to stay for 4 days. since we shared the bungalows,it only cost us 120baht each(25kr)nice:) allthogh the bungalow seemed like was from the 1920s with several wholes in the roof and walls and we allmost had to stand on the toilet to have a shower it atleast was cheap and had a lock:)and thank heaven for misquito-net:)
the days before the full moon we just relaxed and stayed at the beach and got to see the town, and the fullmoon was HUGE!!! the biggest rave party i can imagine at the beach, people was dancing all over the beach,in the water, the music was so loud that every island around could also hear it and it lasted until 9-10 in the morning! i didnt get any bad thoughts about this party, people were just having fun and was happy and enjoyed themselfs...>) but, i think it might be once in a lifetime for me:):)
the day after i said goodbye to david andrea, and they left for ko tao, for me i had enough relaxing at the beach and headed for surat thani again to go on further to kao san, bankok again and have a nice shower(!)and charge my mp3,cam,video and plan further to go on to ubon rachathani, north east,to see alittle bit of jungle and some waterfalls;) after that i"m planning to go over to south laos, and then follow the mekong down to cambodia, phnom penh(try again, feel stronger to handle with cambodia now:)) and then follow mekong to ho chi minh:) the plans is changing a little bit now and then, but then it gets less stress, no stress yet and i lovin it!:))
i just have to say that thai people are the cutes, happiest, nicest people i"ve ever met! all over every local people wants to help u or talk to u to practise theit english, it"s not common to learn it at school and they look at u as a great oppertunity to practise their undeveloped english:) at the train station in surat thani i had to wait for the train for about 7 hours( i got the cheapest ticket after some work to get it because they tried very hard to sell me a ticket for a train which had air condition and costed twise as much, NO NEED) and for about 2 hours 3 girls and one boy came to me and asked if they could practise their english with me after i heard them outside the fence and told them they were good at it, they laughed so much:)) sure u can! and they asked to film as we practised and took pictures and asked me many questions and got to show me their school work, they were just finished school for the day and had all theit material with them:) they were 17 and so cute. we exchanged our e-mails and they are going to send me the film and photos:):) after that i got to sit and talk with one thai lady which gave me free thai massage at my arms and legs ,a security guard which wanted to look after me and a undercover 25 year old policeman which also practised english with me:) do i need to say anymore, this is sorth of happening every day, same same but different, its no hard to travel by yopur own in this country, for sure, i never felt or have been alone yet:) LOVE THIS COUNTRY!
now i'm staying here for a couple of days, in kao san and then we"ll see what my next adventures will be:):)
