Howdy! (Aggie greeting... but rarely do I use it unless writing an email to a Professor haha) But won't be using it for awhile I guess as I am making my way to Australia. I suppose a G'day is in order.
I have so many emotions as I take off on this journey. Its crazy how it came about I literally waited until one of the last days to make an official decision on doing the study abroad. I had a lot going on, and many factors came into play on whether or not it would be a good decision. of course money is always a big one. After talking to my parents, and closest friends, and family I was back and forth for months. After thanksgiving, and going back to school I just realized that I wanted to do it and I needed to do it. I felt like doing a study abroad is a real treat. I am very grateful to my family and my parents for allowing me to go abroad. But, for me other than the adventure... it was also about finding myself and looking for something more about the person that I want to be and to grow into. Honestly, I'm not really sure what I'm looking for to accomplish that goal. But, I feel like its one of those things where the experiences is what shapes you. This is the first time that I will be financially independent, alone, and on my own so far away from home. literally all the way across the world from my parents. It's a big step, a scary step, but also very exciting going into the unknown.
I'm looking forward to what the future holds and in the next few days my life will change and I'm going to learn a lot. I'm looking forward to grasping the culture changes and meeting new people from across the world. So let the adventure begin!
