This is my first blog site so sorry if it is bad.
I have travelled to WA and back from the east coast of Australia. It was a 3 month trip. We have also done a trips to SA and lots of travelling around the East Coast.

Glenlyon Dam.
This place is a amazing place beautiful for swimming, water skiing and fishing. We stayed at the caravan park this place has amazing service with great boating facilities, nice and very clean amenities, great owners, fish cleaning facilities, park/playground, nice clean dam, fires are allowed, allowed to ride bikes fuel and a kiosk/office with ice-creams and a few other things that they sell.

Location to places is: 64km to Tenterfield. 95km to Stanthorpe. 40km to Texas. So you are around some Major places to do shopping and pick up a few things you don't have.

We stayed from the 26/12/2013 to 4/01/2014. We stayed New Year's Eve it was a amazing time to stay. In the day time you got to release yellow belly findlings into the dam, in 18months the fish will be a legal size.
In the evening they did a raffle to raise money for more fish to go back in the dam, then a action after it (it was funny and very entertaining), then after that they had a child fireworks that went for a few minutes, then at midnight they had a midnight fireworks performance that went for about 10 minutes, that was the best fireworks show I had ever seen.

On the 2/1/2014 I caught my first ever freshwater fish and it was a yellow belly I am not sure of the size though.

The only bad side about this place is that it gets really hot which is not that great but it doesn't really matter because you have the dam right near you.

I have enjoyed my time at this place a lot. It is a great place and I would rate it 10/10.
