For the blog:
Awfully sorry for posting this blog at very late time. You see, I have been spending my precious times with my campers within the last few weeks. It has been amazing and I was so gutted when the last day came and went. It was very sad but I am so glad that I made my best decision in coming here and gained so many experiences in working with amazing people.
Unfortunately I had a bad ear infection which I had to make a trip to ER as it was so painful and I couldn't cope with the pain. So I was not allowed to go in the pool or the lake at the last week which was disappointing but I managed to have fun with all my campers. My ear infection has improved by antibiotics and pain killers - and it is getting better but slowly.
My experience in working with the people with disabilities has been the best experience I have ever worked for and those precious memories will be treasured. I have learnt so much about working with people that has its own disabilities. My favourite camper had to be a blind guy - his personality is amazing especially his sense of humour - he surely does know how to make me laugh. I remember one time I told him that I am partially deaf and can only hear quite well. He was like so you & I have both lost one out of five senses... At least we can relate. Bless him and every time I called his name, he always go.. "Emmila, is that you? Wait, let me smell your hair so I know it's you for sure" that just made me chuckle.
I am hoping that I'll return next year as I enjoyed it so much and wants to extend my experiences in working with disabled people. Well who knows?
The banquet was so emotional and I was sad to say my goodbyes to my amazing friends and campers...I know that they had a great time & so did I. We all had some delicious B Dubs food & watched a video of everyone together- it was sweet. I'm gonna miss my peeps like Elizabeth, Andrea, Kylie, and much more... But I bet we all will keep in touch! Xx
Now I just had the loveliest reunion with my bestie Charlotte so Chicago & I showed her around the places that I have been and she seemed to enjoy it very much!
Now I am tapping this iPad away in the plane to San Francisco! I am looking forward about this 5 night stay and hoping to see many interesting places!
Loves, Ems xo
