Hello hello hellooo...
I've had a pretty crazy and busy week a bit in Australia.
I've been to Bondi Beach and did a walk along the coast to Coogee where we had a bbq on the beach, played some volleyball and did some snorkelling... then trekked up the blue mountains the next day which was amazing... although pretty tiring on a hangover and a few hours sleep. On my last day in Sydney we took a ferry over to Manly island and spent a day on the beach there. The weather wasn't the best which was a bit disappointing after a week of beautiful sunshine.
The nightlife in Sydney is pretty crazy (and expensive) but there's loads of really cool places to go. On Saturday night we went on a party bus pub crawl which was pretty mental.
On the last night we all went up Sydney tower to the revolving restaurant for an AMAZING buffet meal. it was sooo good. I tried crocodile, kangaroo and octopus! The whole evening was really lovely and the view was really cool too. Although we were in the middle of a massive lightning storm so being in the tallest building in Sydney was a little distracting....
The next morning i was getting the oz experience bus at 6.15... unfortunately blackberry failed me and my alarm didn't go off but i woke up at 5.50 with 25 minutes to pack and get to the bus station (a good half an hours walk)... i have never moved so fast. I grabbed my key desposit and with $20 in my hand... started running off down the road with my backpack searching for a taxi. Luckily i found one and JUST made the bus. Woops...
The first stop was spot X which is a surf camp 9 hours from Sydney. We got there quite late so me and a girl i met on the bus chilled with some goon (cheap wine you drink out of a bag) and had an early night ready for our surf lesson the next day. The lesson was a success! considering the mare i had the last time.. the waves were loads easier to surf and i was up straight away. Surfing is much more fun when you stand up...
We left there yesterday afternoon and headed for Byron Bay which is a really cool hippy town about 4 hours north of Spot x. Although... its raining :( (hence the update). I'm feeling pretty disappointed in australia at the moment as it's meant to be like this all week. But we might brave the weather and talk a walk to the most easterly point in Australia this afternoon ( it's in the picture).
So that's it! I will update you soon on my whereabouts. It feels like i've packed so much into such a short amount of time. So i will have much more to report soon!.
