We made it to Kaohsan Road Hostel! The plane journey was very long and tedious because the entertainment systems weren't working so no films!!!I would have slept most the way had i not been sitting next to a very overly friendly and chatty lady! But when i found out that it was 34 degrees in Bangkok i felt a lot better! We arrived in Bangkok airport and taking mums warnings about taxi's headed towards a very un gap year lookig taxi rank with a sign saying LIMOUSINE and hopped into a taxi with leather seats, air conditioning and loads of le room......not quite the gap year experience but hans and i tried to convince ourselves that it was suitable...can't really remember how!On arrival at the hostel we were slightly dubious though it turned outto be quite a nice place, probably because we didn't get rooms 102/104!The hostel is literally just of the Koasan road, which is i so crazy! There are thousands of stalls selling clothes, sunglasses, bags, hats.....basically heaven and even better everything costs at most 5 pounds!I bough George a t-shirt for 80p and a dress for 3 pounds! There are s many colourful lighs and items of clothing, music blasts out of shops and motorbikes try to drive through peoples legs!Hannah and i had our hair braided....not completely though it woul dhave only cost 2.50!we then ate noodles which we bought from a little stall.....i can't explain how busy the street is, i will put up photos tomorrow. Tomorrow we are going to visit some of the temples, probably do some more market shopping and perhaps take a boat trip down one of the canals! very sleepy.........
