Emma's Travels
I had a fantastic few days in St Kilda with some of my friends from the Kiwi Experience. I didn't do an awful lot except drinking and relaxing on the beach, and going to see the Penguins! We then left yesterday to drive up to Sydney and had a very eventful journey, running out of petrol and sleeping in the car because there was no where to stay in Sydney! However we made it to (once again) rainy Sydney where I am staying for another few days before flying to Thailand on Friday!

Nan & Gdad Glad you made it safely to Sydney. Hope you find somewhere to stay as you will be there till Friday! Also hope it stops raining - Australia certainly seems to be getting more than its fair share. Love Nan & Gdad xx
Mo Em you seem to be following the England cricketers route too - you groupee(!) let's hope the rains hold off for your you days in Sydney, for your holidays obviously and not for England to whoop the Aussues at their sport :)) have a good stay in Sydney and hope not too expensive - safe travels for next adventures in Thialand love Mo xx
Mo Em forgot to ask are Catherine and Graeme ok where they live?? Far enough north to miss the 9th floods I hope xx
Frank & Val Emma, a bit of deja vu,, laze on the beach, few beers, lousy car, sleep in car wake up and start again, just like the 60is..Dont forget your new phrase for next week. K̄hwd p̄h̀ān kruṇā or ขวดผ่านกรุณา Happy travels,, luv xxx
Philip & Sheila Hi Emma Wondered where the british weather had gone! to follow the cricket team in OZ! Still nice to see we can win some things! Hope youur trips down under are going well!! Love Philip & Sheila
Catherine & Graeme Happy New year to everyone, we are fine in Townsville no floods yet, but we have had lots of rain, last night we had 90mm in 3 Hours, but no real problem with floods, but this is only the start of the wet season and we can’t blame Emma for the rain any more. The drive sounds interesting?? Enjoy the rest of your time in Australia, hope you can get on line from time to time to keep us all up to date. No one here talks about the Cricket, I can think why?
Mandy Hi Emma, Happy New Year, did you see the new year in with lots of fireworks? I would love to be in Sydney to see in the New Year just once, its on my list. We are seeing lots of pics on the news here of the flooding I hope that isn't causing you too much of a problem. Have a fantastic time in Thailand. Mandy x x
Emma I had a hostel booked for all the other nights, just not that one as we didnt know where we would be. The sun is shining again now I am leaving Oz, at least down in Sydney anyway! Luckily I managed to avoid the floods, they just meant I had to fly from Townsville to Cairns as the road was closed. I wasn't in Sydney for New Year but I watched it on the TV. Not quite the same but couldnt afford the hostels and didnt fancy queuing all day to get a spot by the harbour.
