After an amazing flight from Puerto Montt with crazy views of Los Glaciers National Park, Punta Arenas was basically shut, ´nuff said! Nice hot chocolate though.

Having arrived the previous evening to extremely strong winds, we spent the day walking around the deserted town trying to arrange some hiking in Torres del Paine National Park. Similar to Punta Arenas, the season hadn't yet kicked off and most places were shut. Our only opetions were: A. Trek for 5 days indepentantly, camping or staying in basic US$60 refuges B. Another little town in the lake district, not as picturesque as Pucon, but our brilliant hostel (with proper duvets!) made a beautiful place to relax for a few days and let Jona get over his man flu. The only downer was finding out that this year, Christmas for us will be cancelled. We should have sorted our onward flights out earlier!
