The picture is deceiving there was no snow on the mountains! Its summer. Ok this entry is about the road trip from Sydney to Melbourne. We left on the friday, took us ages to get out of Sydney and we may have driven over Harbour bridge twice! We finaly left and the journey to Canberra our first stop was pretty quiet. Canberra, its strange, you would never know it was a capital city, its so quiet. But you will be pleased to know we found a place to eat with mega cheap wine and found a nice lively bar.
The next day we did the sights of Canberra (not many!) We went to the lake and watched some jet skis and then hired a 3 man canoe, was amusing. Then we went to the national Australia Museam, was quite interesting then looked at the parliament buildings. That was it!
Next leg of the journey, to the snowy mountains, lots of dead kangaroos seen on the way, luckily we didn't hit any because a friend of ours did and did a fair bit of damage to the bumper. The snowy mountains were gorgeous. Stayed in a great place, it was really quiet because its summer and winter is obviously peak times. Did a bit of sleeping and a bit of walking then off again
Oh I did get a turn at driving which was fun. Well actually driving automatics is a bit boring so I didnt do it for long. We drove down to the coast down some interesting 'roads' so nothing for miles and miles. The coast was nice but didn't really have much to see before driving to Melbourne.
Thats it, all I have to say for now. Tonight Im going to neighbours night so I must dash.........
