Sa-Was-dee-Ka [Hello in Thai]!!

So after ten months of planning we are finally here!! But after an eventful plane journey!! Thanks to the turbulence, Lauren spent most of the journey with the sick bag stuck to her face and Emma's ankels were so swollen she could not put her shoes on, So Thailand did not have first good impressions of us!!!

So we set off on our journey...We arrived at our hotel [which was free, Thanks STA travel!] thinking the taxi driver had got it wrong, as it was no backpackers place but a 5 star hotel filled with people in suits, So we wondered in, Lar green and Emms carrying her shoes!!!! But we were at the right one so we made full use of the facilities!!

We thought we would take a gander around and get some food but before we could even venture across the road we had been ushered into some tourist information centre with some geezer called Lucky [Think that says it all!] He tried to rip us off so we made a quick exit!!

The next day we thought we would visit some of Bangkoks main toursit attractions, So off we went in a Tuk Tuk to the Grand palace, We were just about to go in when this dodgy thai [so we thought] started talking to us but he turned out to be a valuable source of info!! We ended up getting a Tuk Tuk for 40 Baht [approx 50p] for the whole day visiting main attractions around Thailand..Result!! After visiting the grand palace, where we seen enough gold and jewels to last us a life time we went to Khoa San Road!

We were enjoying a few quite drinks when we started chatting to three guys from England, Then Wayne joined in on the fun!!!!! Wayne was about 70 and from Australia and he seemed to want to tell us all about his love life with his lady friends and how he 'STILL HAS IT'. We did not want to hear this from Grandpa Wayne!! So along with Lawrence [The other two lads had to get a flight back home] we made our escape!! We went for a few more drinks and got involved with the Shisha, England is defo missing out here!!! Then it was a Tuk Tuk back to bed for us two Bristol birds!

The following niight we thought we would venture to Patpong [Thanks to Carys online travel advice!] we enjoyed a very nice Thai meal then thought we would go have some drinks......After sitting in some nice bars watching the Thai Prostitutes do there thing! We thought we would go for a wonder, We were walking along and Emma saw a street with lots of lights so we thought this looks interesting, Little did we know! We walked past a bar with a thai bloke shouting out "show, Show' so we thought we would pop in and take a gander as we thought it would be a lady boy caberet! So we got a drink and took our front row seats ready for the show to begin. Then the curtains went up....There were two Thai boys prancing around naked on the stage, It was a gay porn show!! We felt sick, so we made a VERY quick exit!!

The next day, after all the excitment the night before we left Bangkok to head to Chiang Mai on a 14 hour night train, This was definately an experience and we will never complain about public transport back in the UK again!!!!!!
