Hi everyone! Eleanor here, thought it was about time i wrote something so everyone knows i'm still alive! We're on a small island called Koh Phi Phi now - it's where the Tsunami hit and where the Beach was filmed! So far we've all been having an amazing time i think this is probably one of our favourite islands so far - it's a bit more lively! Had a fun night out the other night and went for a boogie (Music is not the same as the fleece cheese we love though, last night they did a mix of Outkast Hey Ya with Queen we will rock you?! Definitely as bad as it sounds! The best song they played all night was YMCA!) Anyway the night turned into a bit of an adventure when we found out at half 4 in the morning that we'd locked the key in our room (it's an easy mistake to make because the rooms lock from the inside, and admittedly it has happened a few times but usually not at half four in the morning!) Reception was obviously closed so we were beginning to think that the sun loungers by the pool might actually be quite comfy beds for the night... Natsy (after a few sangsom Lemonade and Limes) decided that she was the new James Bond and could get us in with some cunning kirby grip lock picking Phone card using and a bit of shoulder barging, it didnt work!! We then tried fishing it out through the bars on the window by making a massive stick tied together with hair bobbles, but unfortunately it wasnt long enough! After a lot of trying and some help from some Thai barmen, the security guard for our bungalows had to get the receptionist up to give us the spare key (he didnt look too happy!) but we finally got a proper bed for the night!
Had a really good day the other day when we took a boat trip from Phi Phi Don to Phi Phi Leh ( the smaller uninhabited island!) got to feed some wild monkeys on a beach did some Snorkelling, Kayaking and swimming and then visited Maya Bay (the Beach where they filmed "The Beach"!) It was really beautiful, we had expected it to be a bit overrun with tourists but it wasnt at all (i think Maya Bay might be on the picture above, but if it isnt Maya Bay that's what it looked like!!). We also got tea included, which was traditional Thai cuisine, rice, vegetables in a sauce and some chicken and coconut soup (amazingly we all enjoyed it, even me and there wasnt even any ketchup to go with it!) Then we got to watch the sunset, very romantic!
Been spending our nights at a bar called Hippes Bar where they do a fire show everynight, its really amazing and a lad from Ireland last night got up from the audience and ate fire (us 4 girls got a mention for looking soo shocked/scared/amazed) there's also an english girl who does the hula hoop (on Fire!!!) and she can move it from her toes right up to round her head!!
Got a really nice wakeup this morning (well afternoon!!!) when Emma came knowcking on mine and Mellys door with breakfast in bed! Banana Shakes and Banana and Peanut Butter Pancakes! A-mazing!!
Tonight is half moon again and think we're going to help set up some banners at the hippies bar - we got promised a free drink each for our help!! Missing everyone and nights out in Richmond with all the girlies (and some boys too!). Really wish everyone could be here to have fun with us, we decided that it would be amazing if we just walked down the beach and found wetherspoons with everyone inside it!! Lots and Lots of Love to everyone! Love Elzy, Helzy, Emzy and Natzy xxxx
