I got here relatively without incident, I ruined 2 visa waiver cards on the plane so I think the air steward thought I was a bit thick. This came after he mistakenly thought me and the stranger next to me were a couple and tried to give us a shared customs card.

The place i'm staying is just outside Seattle in the mountains. So far I have avoided beastly wildlife with only 1 spider discovery in my room to date. I have been spending my time cycling and swimming and doing very American things like going to garage sales!!! Last night I went to the local park that caters for every sport under the sun and watched the cycling races in the veledrome. I'm off to a festival later this afternoon then on to a torchlight parade tonight for my first look at Seattle.

I impressively avoided jetlag with signifcant caffiene intake and already feel that Pacific time is normal. (Incidently I hate saying pacific as it feels like someone is saying specific wrongly).
