Really long day.Left at 6.30am and didnt get to the Laos border until 4pm.Immigration all went smoothly even with my soggy passport although we all had to pay them a dollar each before they weould even look at our passports, corruption!!! Missed alarm so didnt rise until 8.Went to the masuleum which can only be described as freaky! Travelled from Halong Bay back to Hanoi which was the same three hour bus journey in reverse. Checked in and went for a wander around the town.Had some lunch and walked around the lake and went to a famous prison that has been turned into a museum but didnt go inside.
