So we took a sleeper bus from Mumbai up to Udaipur which was okay. We had a double bed which was comfy enough with air con so we didn't get too sweaty. The only issue of the whole journey was when we had one of the toilet stops . . . I went to go in the first toilet which had such low ceilings I had to duck to get in and couldn't even go right inside as the smell was so bad I almost spewed instantly and ran back out. We then seen that there was a second toilet so we went over and there was a western one (very rare) but as I went to walk in someone had decided to take a s*** right in front of the toilet! So as u can imagine it stank, the stuff was all up the walls and everything.
See this is the one thing I don't get in these countries . . . HOW do you make that mess and if you have clean it the f*** up!!!
Any way other than that the journey was good and we were so happy when we arrived in Udaipur as we had never expected it to be as clean and quiet as it was. It might not be like home but I would say from what I seen of India it's the cleanest place you can go in India and friendliest. They didn't shout and pressure you, they welcomed you in and were just interested.
Over our couple of days there we spent a day at the pool which was luxury (until I fell down 2 flights of stairs and bashed my elbow.) we wandered the streets, had henna done and went to a cooking lesson!!
It was so amazing and the time just flew by! And before we knew it we had to get a move on up to Amristar to meet the truck.
