Wow first journal entry!!!!!! China is amazing, but such hard work... seriously i'm suprised u cant smell the toilets from england! They are communal!!!!!!!! Beijing was great, maybe I'll tell you more when we're home. But, we gathered crowds (i'll put photos up soon!), and had our photos taken with so many random chinese! We were as much a tourist attraction as the forbidden city! Then after a really hard day of travelling we arrived in Simao (after our first chinese banquet!) to a really disgusting banquet of food with the headmaster of the school. And the toilets were the worst yet. such a shock. The next day was way better, the town is beautiful, enough old china buildings to feel like it has history, and enough new ones to go shopping in! EVERYONE watches us wherever we go, or shouts hello, or 'welcome to china'! Our link teachers are great, and the headmaster loves us- he gave us a gift set of tea... "Simao is tea city of China"... If i had a quid for every time we hear that, we would be soooooo rich! Today started teaching. Its hard to make them understand, but it will get better. Me n Romy are gettin on well so its at least good to have something to come home to. Guess what i did today?!?!?!? I went to a chinese aerobics/dance class!!!!!!! They played Vengaboys!!!!!!
