Arrival in Japan!! When I arrived at Nartia Airport, I went straight to the baggage claim to get my bags. It actually took me a good 20 minutes to find both of my bags. After I finally found them, I headed to the arrival area, where I was met by (丸山さん-Maruyama San, the Ogose Moro Rotary Club President), Yuriko (ROTEX member), and my second host father (神田さん). They all made me feel so welcome, therefore I took up with them instantly!) After talking for a little while and taking some photos, we left for Ogose! It took us about 2 1/2 hours to drive from Chiba to Ogose. Along the way we stopped in Sakado for my first dinner in Japan!

My first dinner in Japan was a huge plate of various kinds of Sushi, Chawan Mushi (Steamed Egg Custard), Miso Soup, and Green tea. After eating dinner together, we started our journey back to Ogose. Around 9:30 PM, we finally arrived to my first host family (藤島さん) Fujishima san`s house. I was met by my host mother and father, my councelor of Ogose Moro Rotary Club, and his two children. So, we all talked while having tea and fruit together! I was given a full tour of the Fujishima family`s home and taxi buisness. Then, Yuriko and Ogawa san`s daughter helped me unpack my things, and get settled into my room. I was exhausted from my 15 hour journey, and defintetly felt a bit of jet lag! I had the feeling, `it`s so great to home`! To be in the beautiful country that I have so much love and respect for! My first evening in Japan was amazing, and one of the happiest, most exciting days of my life.
