The ferry crossing from Picton to Wellington wasn't rough at all, so we had a few beers, watched the dolphins and took in the scenery.
Wellington was a bit of a shock after driving round the South Island as there is more than 1 lane and us on the roads. We attempted to go to the Observatory there where apparently you can look at the sun, but it was closed. The rose garden was open though, which was lovely.
We then headed for Taupo, where we saw the most amazing sunset and thermal pools, and then Rotorua. Again, adrenalin junkie playgrounds, so we decided to go to the Hot Water Beach, which wasn't so hot, as there have been storms and we didn't get there for low tide!!
We ventured on to Tutukaka and spent the day on a boat visiting the Poor Knights Islands. Graeme did some diving, Emily stayed on the boat - it looked very cold!
Last night was our first in Auckland. We had dinner up the tower where Emily managed to delete all of the photo's from Graeme's camera...... Luckily, we have managed to restore them.
Tomorrow, we say goodbye to NZ and head for Chile.
